TEAM CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS
Elite Diamond Sports College Showcases

All Showcases
Coaches, before your first game, please check your team in at the College Coach Hospitality Tent (at Heritage Yards for Plano Showcases).  If you have an early game, please send a team parent with the required documentation.  Teams that do not check-in are subject to temporary suspension from the Showcase until proper documentation is provided.  This is required by the cities we host the Showcase in as well as ASA.

You will need the following to properly check-in:
*Proof of ASA Registration - You must either have Player Cards for all players on your roster, including pickups or team ASA registration, which is good for non-championship play only.
*Valid Team Insurance - This is included with the ASA Player Cards.  If you have other team insurance, you will need to obtain a team ASA registration as described below.
*Valid copy of roster with list of graduation dates to verify graduation wristbands for players.  If you have Championship Play ASA registration, each player on your roster must have a player card.
*if your ASA Commissioner uses registerasa.com, you can print the roster off the site which also shows ASA registration numbers of all approved registered players.
*Emergency contact cell number - This must be a local cell number to contact the team for any Showcase related issues.
NOTE:  Many times teams don't have their Player Cards.  In this case, have your local Commissioner email us at jdbancroft@eliteshowcase.com stating that all players on the team are ASA registration and approved to play in the Showcase.

If your team is not ASA registered, you can register the team for non-championship ASA play by:
  • Bring your valid team insurance to the Elite Showcase Check-in along with your ASA registration (see next bullet).
  • Go to ASA Team Registration and register your team.  Once you register your team and send the $25 registration fee in (via credit card $30), you will receive a team registration card from ASA for non-championship play good for all Elite Showcases for the current year.
*You may also bring player/team brochures/booklets to the College Coach Hospitality Tent to be left out for the College Coaches to review.

July 12, 2017 - Schedule Update v3

We had to make field adjustments, so please verify all your field numbers on the v3 schedule. Game times were not changed.

Reminder:  ** Do not forget the College Coach Instructional Camp is tomorrow, 7/13/17, walk ups are welcome!  All the information can be found on the Camp Page of the website.

** Coaches, do not forget to attend one of the various Coaches Meeting Friday-Saturday!  Available times were emailed.

Thank you, Matt Wilkins

Look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Coaches/Managers:

Attached is the schedule for the 2017 Elite College Showcases – Summer Showcase, which is a 6GG.  Please review the schedule and let us know if there are any Valid Critical Mistakes.   Make sure you review thoroughly to insure there are no critical errors.

NOTE:  Please make sure you don’t have more than 6 games.  Occasionally we will add a 7th game to fill an empty slot.  Teams with 6 games (or more) are only responsible for the umpire fee for the additional games.

The schedule posted on the website is the Official Schedule and it is now posted there as well.  Please make sure your parents send all questions about the schedule through you rather than contacting us directly.

NO changes will be made to this schedule unless an obvious critical mistake is found.  Complaints about scheduled game times, fields, opponents and/or complexes will NOT be considered to change the Official Schedule.

VALID CRITICAL MISTAKES

  • A team is not scheduled for the minimum game guarantee.
  • A team is scheduled for a back to back double header at two different complexes.
  • A team is scheduled for a triple header.
  • A team is scheduled to play another team more than once.
  • A team drops out of the showcase.

If you find a CRITICAL mistake, then you must send the information about the mistake(s) ASAP tomatt.wilkins@eliteshowcase.com

Please do not forget to have your players email your game times to the softball staff at the colleges that they are interested in attending.  College Coaches do not usually just show up to watch a game unless they know there are players on that team that are interested in attending their institution.

Good luck and we look forward to seeing you!

Elite Sports Summer Showcase 2017 v3
IMPORTANT NOTE:  Due to health concerns, cities have decided, in the interest of sanitation and virus control, that they will no longer provide or support community water coolers in the dugouts.  Elite Sports has taken this seriously as well so please make sure your players are informed and that they bring their own drinks.  Unless otherwise specified, teams are allowed to bring one cooler of drinks in for the dugout.
