ELITE SHOWCASE RECRUITING CAMPS Rules, Policies and Good Practices
Recruiting Camps are an important part of the college recruiting process. The Elite Showcase Recruiting Camps are a great opportunity for college coaches to see the up and coming talent and for you to show the coaches what you have to give.In order for you to portray yourself in the best professional fashion, it is important that you are properly prepared for the event. Please see below for key factors that will help you be as prepared as possible:
¨ Insure that you get a good night’s sleep the day before the camp.A rested player will always perform at a higher level for a longer period of time.
¨ Insure that you are properly hydrated and are not playing on an empty stomach.
¨ Drink water during the camp to keep yourself hydrated.Even in cool weather, you can become dehydrated.
¨ Dress appropriately; most players wear their summer team uniforms.Be sure to tuck in your jersey.
¨ Maintain your focus at all times. That one split second you are not paying attention could be the one a college coach is watching.
¨ Always act professional; communicate with other players, be involved.Coaches like to see players that are out for the team, not just for themselves.
¨ Make sure you have all equipment needed for the camp sessions you will be attending.Part of being a good player is making sure you are always prepared.
¨ Make sure that your equipment is in good shape so that it doesn’t become an issue during the camp.
¨ Pitchers, make sure you bring your own catcher.Catchers will not be supplied by the camp. This is an opportunity for a catcher to be seen by coaches as well.
¨ Be prepared; make sure you are at the camp in plenty of time to go through the final registration process and warm up.It is recommended that you arrive at least one hour prior to the start of your earliest session time.
¨ Be considerate of others and insure your and others safety at all times. We don’t want you or anyone else to get hurt and miss what should be a great experience for all.
¨ REMEMBER you camp number. This is your key to accessing your speeds and/or timings. We will post the results on the Showcase Website within a few days after completion of the Showcase Tournament.
¨ Player statistics should be posted within three to five business days after the end of the Showcase Tournament.
¨ Cancellations – Once you are registered and are approved for the Recruiting Camp, cancellations will be treated on a prorated refund schedule up to a maximum of 50%, depending on the cancellation date. Any cancellation within 15 days of the camp date is not refundable. There will be no refund for entry fees due to uncontrollable circumstances such as weather.Additionally, no-shows will not be eligible for a refund.
¨ Returned Checks – From time to time, checks don’t make it through the process and we receive an NSF check.Although we know this is not intentional and sometimes are just timing issues, there is an element of time, effort and the bank fees when this occurs.Due to this, we charge a $30 returned check fee to be added to the amount of the NSF check amount.
¨ Rain – In the unlikely event that we have rain, we will due everything we can to continue once the fields are ready for play and there isn’t any pending danger from the storms. The Elite Showcase and Recruiting Camps will do everything possible to insure that each player gets the best opportunity to complete their camp activities.
¨ The Camp's official schedule can be found at www.eliteshowcase.com/playercamps/campsessiontimes.html. Minor modifications to the camp schedule may be made, on an as needed basis, due to on-field requirements. When the Camp is within 10 days, the schedule will be finalized so be sure and check back for any changes. –
